Birdy The Birdy from Germany is a lightweight - about 10kgs - aluminium bike with full front and rear suspension giving a comfortable ride. Folding in 20 seconds into a small package, it allows for easy park-and-ride transport. Four models are available, including a 7-speed Nexus hub-geared bike with roller brake. Wheel size 18in. Moulton APB Affordable version of the high-performance bikes pioneered by the inventor-engineer Alex Moulton. The space frame, with adjustable full suspension, separates into two parts. Available in commuter/touring and off-road models with three to 21 speeds. Front and rear carriers provide excellent luggage-carrying capacity for touring. Wheel size 20in. Strutt (formerly Worksong) A versatile, large-wheeled folder influenced by aircraft and racing-car design. The handbuilt frame is precision-engineered, giving a superb ride for touring or commuting. Pathseeker off-road model makes a quick transition from car to countryside. British-made. All models can be supplied by Phoenix Cycles. Pashley Fold-It Pashley's UK-made Fold-It has medium sized 20in wheels and weatherproof hub brakes for reliable braking in the wet. Fitted with a choice of three or seven-speed hub gears and off-road or city tyres. The Fold-It fits into the boot of a family car or into a car roof box. A versatile unisex folding bicycle with good riding characteristics. Two models are available, both fitted with hub-gears, a 3-speed and a 7-speed. Pashley Micro The Micro, also by Pashley, relaunches the successful compact folding bike of the 1980s. It is aimed at commuters, caravanners and other riders needing a compact bike for travel or storage reasons. Available in three- or single-speed version. Folds in 25 seconds. Wheel size 16in. A particularly compact and light weight folding bicycle. Two versions are made - a single speed (Micro Lite) and a three speed (Micro-Luxe). Both models are supplied with folding pedals, and the Micro-luxe includes mudguards, propstand, carrier and a carrying bag.
