Prevention
--- At present, the vaccines for both HAV and HBV infection are available.
For those travelling to poor hygienic area, vaccination for HAV is highly
recommended, however, for eradication of HAV from a high-endemic area,
just improvement in environmental sanitation and change in individual
hygienic habit are enough. Taiwan, where with high prevalence of HBV and
HAV infection in the early 80's, has become an area where people going
to high-endemic area should receive vaccination.
